Hi everyone.
We are fishing up at martinez for the next 3 days, i will be back in sf on tuesday morning.
I have room next saturday for two people it is a sturgeon trip call me if you would like to go.

Rain rain rain, this is just what we needed to get the sturgeon to feed, with the river run off and the bay now getting muddy the sturgeon should start to get more active.
I had my group on saturday cancel due to the forcasted bad weather.I will be moving my boat up to martinez on wednesday for the sturgeon derby next saturday, i will be back in san francisco on monday 30th with a group of 3 that want to fish bass and sturgeon. keep checking in for reports.

not much to report, i am working on the boat this week, getting a few things done, built a new seat and live well , i installed it on the boat and it looks realy good.
picture bellow. i am also building a new radar arch which will be ready on thursday, i will try and have it installed by tghe weekend as i have tripos next weekend for STURGEON.

i have just finished building the trophys for the diamond classic that will be held on jan 28th in martinez, take a look at these let me know what you think.
I am building one for the kids prize buy it wont be finished until next week.

I had a group of two from Austraila yesterday who wanted to fish sturgeon so we went to sonoma creek area back to my favorite spot, We had incoming tide all morning so we started using roe which is what we had sturgeon take the last 3 trips. After about 2 hours we had a take down but it came unbuttoned due to a bad hook set. Just before slack we had another pumper which we missed, we did end up with a big leopard shark which shows just how much salt content is in the water, this time of year there should be no sharks that far up in the system, we need RAIN and lots of it, also CRABS,CRABS AND MORE CRABS. Eight legged bait stealing freeks that shoud be washed out to the ocean by now.

SOUTH BAY 1/6/12

I had a half day trip today wit two people from minisota, i decided to go to hunters point because i thought that the herring should be showing up soon.
I set up just outside the last pier in 50ft of water, after about 30 minutes we hooked into a big fish, 20 minutes later we had it at the boat but couldnt get it off the bottom,we never saw the fish but it was very big as we couldnt move it.
Here is the picture of SHAWN fighting the beast, i am going back there on sunday with a group of FRENCH fisherman to see if we can get it to swollow more herring. STAY TUNED.

All i can say about mondays trip is EPIC. 5 sturgeon 2 leopard sharks. The bigest sturgeon was 6ft.1in, 5ft.8in, 5ft.5in, 4ft.2in and 1 lost fish that looked very big.
I was back on the water today for a half day shark trip but it was very slow fishing. I am back on the water on friday, we will see what happens.
